Top 20 Iconic Celeb Brides

Top 20 Iconic Celeb Brides

20 iconic famous brides, with your help.  My only rule was that they had to be real (no fictional brides allowed) and their wedding gowns had to be influential on some level. I know I'm missing a ton, so please put your additions to list in the comment section below!!
Here you go, in chronological order...
1. Queen Victoria
Up until Queen Victoria married Prince Albert on February 10, 1840, brides wore pale blue to symbolize purity.  Then she wore a white gown and we haven't looked back since!
2. Queen Elizabeth II
Queen Elizabeth married Prince Phillip of Greece and Denmark on November 20, 1947 in a gown was made using rationing coupons to pay for the material since the country had not yet rebounded from WWII.
3. Elizabeth Taylor
As we all know, Liz has been married eight times (two of them to Richard Burton) but the photo above is from her first marriage to Conrad Hilton (Paris and Nicky's great uncle) on May 6, 1950, wearing a traditional 1950's silhouette.

4. Jackie Kennedy
A style icon from the very beginning, she looked every bit the socialite in her gorgeous Ann Lowe gown at her September 12, 1953 wedding to future president John F. Kennedy.
5. Marilyn Monroe
At her second wedding to Joe Di Maggio on January 14, 1954, Monroe went the non-traditional route in a dark brown broadcloth suit with an ermine colar.
6. Grace Kelly
At her wedding to Prince Rainier of Monaco in April 1956, Grace wore a Helen Rose gown that featured100 yards of silk net, 25 yards of silk taffeta, and century old lace.
7. Mia Farrow
On July 19, 1966, 21 year old actress Mia Farrow married 50 year old Frank Sinatra in a mod mini dress at The Sands hotel in Las Vegas.
8. Priscilla Presley
On May 1, 1967, Priscilla married Elvis eight years after first meeting him in Germany when she was only 14 years old.  She wore a lacy gown, poofy veil, and mod eyeliner paired with pale lips- so cute!
9. Audrey Hepburn
At her second wedding to Andrea Dotti on January 16, 1969, the always-chic Audrey wore a mod turtle neck mini dress paired with a hood.
10. Princess Diana
Lady Diana Spencer married Prince Charles on July 29, 1981, and bridal fashion was never quite the same after.  Her gown was made by David and Elizabeth Emanuel and created from antique lace, ivory silk taffeta, and over ten thousand pearls and sequins.  The simpler styles of the 1970's changed literally over night and the romantic, taffeta styles of the 1980's were born!
11. Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy
Carolyn Bessette and John Kennedy Jr were married on September 21, 1996.  Like Princess Di, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy's wedding gown was also a total game-changer.  Gowns in the early 1990's were incredibly over the top (you could easily find ruffles, lace, satin, beaded embroidery, and beaded fringe all on the same gown), but then along came this chic, understated silk crepe Narcisco Rodriguez gown and once again, we never looked back.
12. Cindy Crawford
Cindy married Rande Gerber on May 29, 1998, in a barefoot beach ceremony wearing a John Galliano slip dress, showing off her supermodel glamazon figure.
13. Victoria Beckham
Victoria wore a silk satin Vera Wang gown and tiara to her July 4, 1999 wedding to David Beckham, showing off her tiny frame without overwhelming it.
14. Gwen Stefani
When Gwen married rocker Gavin Rossdale on September 14, 2002, no one was really all that surprised a style icon like her wore this pink-to-white ombre stunner by John Galliano.  She could very well be responsible for being the one who brought color back to bridal.
15. Jessica Simpson
Jessica Simpson married Nick Lachey on October 26, 2002 in a romantic lace Vera Wang gown.
16. Melania Trump
Slovenian model, Melania Knauss, married Donald Trump on January 22, 2005 in a John Galliano gown that weighed 50 pounds.  The gown was so incredible, it was landed the cover of Vogue, marking the first time a bride was featured on the cover.
17. Dita Von Teese
Burlesque queen Dita Von Teese married shock rocker Marilyn Manson on December 3, 2005 in a purple silk taffeta Vivienne Westwood gown, Christian Louboutin shoes, and a tri-corn hat by milliner Stephen Jones.
18. Jenna Bush
Former first daughter Jenna Bush's low key wedding to Henry Hager was at her parent's Texas ranch on May 10, 2008.  She wore a simple Oscar de la Renta lace sheath and her hair in relaxed waves, staying true to her elegant, laid-back style.
19. Portia di Rossi and Ellen Degeneres
At Portia and Ellen's August 16, 2008 wedding, both women wore gorgeous coordinating designs by Zac Posen.

20. Ivanka Trump
Just months after Ivanka Trump's October 25, 2009 wedding to Jared Kushner, similar lace sleeved gowns popped up all over the runway.  Ivanka's vintage inspired lace gown was designed by Vera Wang.
